Pepped-Up Pepitas!

If you’re looking forward to being a pumpkin-DIY-master this weekend, to either recreate my Blooming-ly Smashing Pumpkin Vase or carve spooky jack-o-lanterns, don’t throw away the abundant white seeds! Pep them up and quickly roast them in the oven for a healthy afternoon pick me up. 

Ingredients:

Pumpkin seeds, from your pumpkin carving project, of course!

Garlic salt

Cayenne Pepper

Olive oil

Pre-heat the oven to 300° F.

Rinse and dry the pumpkin seeds.

Drizzle about 2 teaspoons of olive oil and sprinkle seasoning. 

Lay on a sheet pan, but be sure that the seeds lay flat, on a single layer. 

Bake for 45 minutes turning occasionally.
